NEWS:- . LIONS CLUB DONATES TO MIAMI SCHOOL The Miami Lions Club has been a strong supporter of the Miami R-1 School Accelerated Reader program for the past several years. (In photograph) Rob Latimer, Lions program chairman, is shown presenting a $500 check to Judy Teufel, Miami R-1 principal, and Vicki Bledsoe, Accelerated Reader coordinator. This donation will help purchase awards and supplies for the program. The students at Miami have read 6,799 books during the 2003-04 school year and 24,587 books since the program was implemented in 1998. ~ The Marshall Democrat-News, 5/13/2004
